Odometer Repair

Three causes for early 944 odometer failure.
The red gear breaks.
The red gear slides to the side and no longer meshes with the white worm gear.
The first metal advance gear (gold color in photo) is sliding. It needs to be firmly crimped to the shaft.

"I pushed my Odometer reset button while the car was moving. Is my Odometer going to break?" Don't be stupid!
